Probability of evacuation for inhabitants of Prague 5 decreased, new informations will be released on 13:00

Chance for evacuation of people from Hořejší and Janáčkovo nábřeží is being updated. Informations from Flood crisis staff suggests that Vltava river level in Prague 5 will not significantly increase because its stabile now. According to the Mayor of Prague 5 Ing. Miroslav Zelený, the evacuation will not happen until at least 13:00, when will be released new information.

Leadership of City Quarter of Prague 5, headed by Mayor Ing. Miroslav Zelený wants to thank all the volunteers, who in the past hours offered their assistance in any form.
“A lot of citizens of Prague 5 kept readiness status, our employees came to work on Sunday, the City Hall was working nonstop. We put into operation three telephone lines to the secretariat of the mayor, where authorized personnel were continuously informing citizens about the flood situation. They answered hundreds of questions,“expressed satisfaction with the functioning of the Prague 5 office mayor Ing. Miroslav Zelený.

Our staff went to the streets to inform people in the most vulnerable areas, putting up posters on vulnerable buildings. “We pursued special attention to preventive measures, in the event of evacuation we will be able to take care of the most endangered people – our seniors, disabled and immobile citizens,” said 1st Deputy Mayor JUDr. Petr Lachnit.
“All interested deserves thanks, hope flood situation will be better,” concludes Mayor Zelený.
